Impossible to believe that the shop's been here for a full quarter century!!! August ninth of 1998 we opened with a smashing Opening Day Party, really hoping we'd make a success of this little bookshop, but who could tell?  We never could have dreamed -- not in a million years -- that Mystery Pier would achieve such an international reputation... would have been blessed with the continuous, ongoing, widespread publicity... would have the incredibly loyal clientele, so many of whom have become close, treasured friends.... and would have continued to give us the limitless joy with which we have been gifted -- and continue to be gifted -- throughout these nine thousand plus days.  Our thanks to you all is well beyond our power to express, but we certainly hope you know the extent of it.
