.....and sincere apologies for what may appear laziness in our not posting for such a long while. In fact, although a degree of sloth may indeed have entered into it, the fact is that, happily, we've been quite busy in the shop and so far it's been a good Holiday business for us. We've been fortunate in procuring some real literary treasures to offer including a terrific First Edition, First State of Hawthorne's THE SCARLET LETTER, often called, 'the greatest American novel'; a smashing First Edition copy of the miniature 1888 Mary Shelley FRANKENSTEIN; the very first book on fishing, the 1769 COMPLETE ANGLER; the earliest photo of the Beatles 1962 appearance in Hamburg signed by John,Paul, George and Pete Best, beautifully presented in a custom plexiglass frame with removable top and sides; the 1734 Tonson first separate printing of Shakespeare's MACBETH; and our piece de resistance -- the just published coffee table book, LOUIS M. JASON'S LITERARY (AND OTHER) CELEBRITY DOODLES -- the stunningly produced sequel to his first, bestselling DOODLES book. We're always happy and delighted to hear the tinkle of our little bell on the shop's front door announcing visitors -- and we remain open seven days a week from 11am to 6pm. We look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you here in this literary treasure trove of a cottage.
