Atlas Shrugged
NY: Random House, (1957).
First Edition of the landmark title, according to a Library of Congress poll in the 1970s, the book second only to the Bible in influence across all U.S. college campuses. Certainly a much better than very good copy in its rather sensational original dust jacket, top-corner clipped but date (10/57) intact on lower corner. Rarely seen in such splendid condition, the jacket's single (though minor) flaw being a less than half-inch closed tear at top. A beautiful example of this widely-read philosophical novel in which Rand expressly lays out (in the 50-page speech by John Galt) the tenets of Objectivism. A true literary collectible.
