Three Players of a Summer Game and other stories
London: Secker & Warburg, (1960).
Very near Fine First British edition (the true First) in its original only very good pictorial dust jacket of this collection of a dozen Tennessee Williams stories, very real dramatic gems, including his notorious One Arm, and also Night of the Iguana. The latter, of course, later expanded into the hit Broadway play starring Tallulah Bankhead, and later the John Huston-directed 1964 film starring Richard Burton, Deborah Kerr and Ava Gardner. A scarce First Edition to find and this copy made infinitely more important as it is boldly signed on the title page by the author as follows: – Cordially — / Tennessee Williams
This highly collectible copy comes with a letter of provenance from its recipient, the late editor of The Paris Review.
