NY: Smith & Haas, (1935). First Edition of Faulkner's tale of barnstorm aviation, an activity which claimed the life of his brother Dean very shortly after the book's publication. A near fine copy, boards with only the usual mild smudging of the blue, in a near fine, first state jacket with but a couple of shallow chips at the extremities. Basis for Douglas Sirk's 1958 film, The Tarnished Angels which starred Rock Hudson, Dorothy Malone, Robert Stack and Jack Carson. Item #10036
