London: Hogarth Press, (1947). True First Edition of the author's book of thirty, typically illuminating essays with an introductory editorial note by Leonard Woolf. A beautiful truly Fine copy, the maroon cloth fresh and bright, the pages clean, bright, free from foxing or blemishes. The original Vanessa Bell pictorial dust jacket, though price-clipped,is certainly much better than very good, more accurately near Fine, with but a couple of miniscule chips and another which stretches across the spine crown.
