First Edition of the famed composer, pianist and bandleader's biography.  A better than very good copy, sans dust jacket, but much acknowledged and seldom seen.  This copy of the highly informative and vastly entertaining biography is made even more important as on the front free endpaper it is inscribed and signed by the Duke to, most probably, (we were just told by a noted jazz musician who came into the shop and saw the copy) famed contralto Marian Anderson as follows:
