Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage

London: Harvill Seeker (2014).

Very Fine unread True (UK) First Edition in English of the internationally lauded Japanese icon, author of forty books published in fifty languages.  This latest work by the hugely famous and widely collected postmodern author sold over a million copies in Japan in its very first week of release and became an international bestseller almost immediately.  As always, Murakami's prose is spare, his stories unusual, ascetic, and often whimsical.  This new work has been described as having "Kafkaesque ambiguity and atmosphere."

This pristine First Edition is signed by Murakami in Japanese on the title page and beneath his signature he has added his stamp in blue ink.   Additionally with this copy comes the ticket of admission (dated Sunday 24 August 2014) to the Baillie Gifford Main Theatre at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the event at which Murakami signed this copy.

As the author is widely reputed to find in his future a Nobel Prize for Literature, this copy would seem a practical and quite wonderful purchase.
