A well-worn, much used copy, sadly stained on foredge pages, in a much better than very good First State dust jacket (priced at $4.00, and with Mailer's photo on rear panel). Basis for the 1958 Raoul Walsh film starring Aldo Ray, Cliff Robertson and Raymond Massey. Title ranks at #51 on the Modern Library 100 Best Books of the 20th Century. This copy is boldly signed on the half-title page by Norman Mailer.. Item #10146
