NY: Cape/Smith, (1930). First Edition, First State (with the incorrect placement of the second "1" on page 11) of this stream-of-consciousness novel set in the fictional Yoknapatawpha County. One of the author's very early Mississippi-set works, the copy is straight and square, unusual for this title, very nearly fine. Lacking.....
New York: Random House, (1954). Tight, square, obviously unread First Edition, basically Fine but for neat previous owner's name and ghost of a bookmark to verso of front board. First state maroon cloth with tan and silver lettering on spine and the bluish-grey endpapers, and First Edition statement on copyright.....
NY: Random House, (1948). Very close to Fine First Edition of this Haycroft-Queen Cornerstone title, in an equally Near Fine dust jacket with but minor shallow chipping, negligible indeed, at spine crown and heel. Fine copy, protected all too well by an intact but chipped and used first state dust jacket. Though not price-clipped, and actually better than it sounds, it's regrettable that a copy of.....
NY: Smith & Haas, (1935). First Edition of Faulkner's tale of barnstorm aviation, an activity which claimed the life of his brother Dean very shortly after the book's publication. A near fine copy, boards with only the usual mild smudging of the blue, in a near fine, first state jacket.....
NY: Cape & Smith, (1931). First Edition of Faulkner's very first collection of short fiction. Volume includes now classic pieces, That Evening Sun, A Rose for Emily, Mistral, and Dry September. A very near fine copy in like, very presentable first state dust jacket, not price-clipped (original price, $2.50), which shows sunned.....
NY: Random House, (1957). First Edition of this, the second book in the Snopes trilogy, by the famed Nobel laureate. A completely pristine, Fine, obviously unread, unopened copy in a gorgeous, price-clipped First State dust jacket (with the 5/57 at bottom of front flap). This copy too is the First.....
